Bike GP 1991 - Britain Duke Archive DVD A lucky spectator gratefully received the helmet thrown into the crowd by the ecstatic winner of the Donington Park British Grand Prix. Championship leader Wayne Rainey (Marlboro Yamaha) stamped his authority on the proceedings early on and another faultless race seemed likely. But Kevin Schwantz (Lucky Strike Suzuki) and Michael Doohan (Rothmans Honda) had other ideas in their bids to keep the pressure on Rainey, who topped the table. Barely a second separated the front two and the spectators witnessed an exciting battle. The fight between Luca Cadalora (Rothmans Honda) and Helmut Bradl (HB Honda) continued in the 250cc. Carlos Cardus (Repsol Honda) split the two championship leaders in a marvellous race.
