In torrential rain Georges Jobe was completely dominant taking control of the event with a double win. Jo Martens collision with Kees Van der Ven gave second place to Honda's Jean Claude Laquaye. Britain?s Dave Watson (Yamaha) and Belgium?s Gustav Rahier (Suzuki) also competed at Chateau-du-Loire.
