Motocross 500 GP 1988 - San Marino Duke Archive DVD The Motocross GP circus was back to dry and dusty conditions again for the 1988 San Marino 500 GP, held near the Italian coastal resort of Rimini. With injuries keeping Dave Thorpe out of action, Eric Geboers (Honda) was keen to extend his lead in the championship, and to this end Honda had loaned Thorpe's machine to Aussie Jeff Leisk to try to counter any charge by Britain's Kurt Nicoll (Kawasaki). Other notable contenders included Van der Ven (KTM), Mark Banks (Honda) and American Billy Liles (Kawasaki). Comprehensive and action-packed, this review is highly recommended.
