Motocross 500 GP 1989 - Britain Duke Archive DVD Over 35,000 motocross enthusiasts gathered to watch Round 9 of the World 500 cc Motocross Championships. Would it be Dave Thorpe's third British win? A rejuvenated Kurt Nicoll (Kawasaki) and fellow arch rivals Georges Jobe (Honda) Eric Geboers (Honda) Jeff Leisk (Honda) and American Billy Liles (Kawasaki) were set on giving Thorpe a run for his money. Overall this was motocross of the highest order, characterised by cut and thrust racing as a determined Jeff Leisk harassed an equally determined Thorpe. It turned out to be a real Farleigh thriller - all the best bits captured brilliantly by the all seeing lens of the cameras.
